Tutu & Contraction EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

That's what we're having here in the Samster household...

So two things really quick & then I'm gonna go to bed. (Yes, I'm going to bed at 8:30)

1) Thank you all SO SO much for all the wonderful comments & emails, I keep re-reading them because it's so reassuring to hear that other people have gone through the same thing. (:
I had a break yesterday from the contractions & was starting to think maybe it was just one false labor & everything had calmed down but today has been rough. They just don't stop all day long. I went to the Dr & although she's not putting me on complete bedrest she said just to take it easy & shoot for one more week. If I can just get to next Friday then I'll be 36 weeks & I can get back to my normal activities without fear that it will push me into early labor. "One more week, one more week, one more week..."

2) The tutus have been pouring in!!! On Tuesday I got 21 tutus from the post office. TWENTY ONE!! WOOHOO! In all honesty, when the postal worker stacked up all the packages waiting for me my eyes welled up with tears. It's SO wonderful to really see, right in front of me, all the caring & wonderful hearts you guys have. And what you've made, oh my gosh, they're incredible! I just have to find a way to take some pics & post them because what you've made is AMAZING. Seriously, amazing!

So that's what's going on here. I had forgotten how hard these last few weeks of pregnancy are, the not knowing, the wondering if this time it could be it. When I get anxious & just want it to be over I have to remind myself that the more time the baby cooks the better. What will just be a few weeks now will mean so much more in the long run. Just gotta get some perspective. Deep breaths....whewwwww.....

  2. I m feeling the same wy as you. I want this baby to come, but I am only 37 weeks. I will find out tomorrow if I am to be induced in just 2 weeks or not. I will be keeping you and your baby in my prayers, that you can keep going longer for a health baby! :-) I know I said I was going to get those tutus mailed to you last week, but it will be by later this week. (sorry, my nesting has been upped to full throttle!) Hang in there! --Andrea

  4. I haven't commented yet because I've been reading by phone, but I hope you can make it to full-term!! You go girl! I remember how hard the end is. You're ready, but you're not ready, but you're ready, but you're not at all and you don't want your baby to be early but you want to be done.. oy! You can do it! I'm sure this baby will be just as cutesie as Samster!

  5. Oh lady I'm feeling just like you! I'm 37 weeks done now, but my iron is so low I might have to give birth at the hospital instead of home like planned... So I must boost my iron level, but my back as been hurting me since the moment I got pregnant, I'm producing too much relaxin and it makes my hips move around and created inflammation which I can't take any drugs for... So I feel the hurry for the baby to come out... but at the same time I want it to be as healthy as possible....

I'm sorry I didn't find the energy to make any tutus! I would have had fun doing them, and the tutorial were so great I've put some on my "long term" to-do list.
I really want to see what everyone made!

... So I'm wishing hard you make it okay to your term, and that you get a fully healthy baby... Only a couple of weeks... That's nothing, right???

  6. Praying for a healthy little one, and for a safe labor for you. The moment that little angel is in your arms, all the wait will be worth it!

I just had to add how awesome you are doing the tutu drive so close to your due date! What a blessing to those kids! Thanks for all you do!

  7. i know it is hard to stay in bed but i want to encourage you to stay and be lazy!!! i had my son at 34 weeks and we spent over a month in the nicu. he didnt have any major complications just had to stay so he could keep developing. But know that if the baby does come early it will be ok! and although the nicu is not where you want your baby to be, for me it was a great experience. wish you the best and i know your little one will be perfect!

  8. those last few weeks are hard enough without contractions hanging around all the time. I had weeks of contractions that would settle in and be steady enough to count and time, and then nothing, so I have an idea what you are going through. praying for your emotional stamina and baby's development, whenever your little one decides to really go for it!

  13. I didn't have the contractions to deal with, but I spent six months on bed rest when I was pregnant with my son. It's tough but so are you! Hang in there! You're in my prayers.
