Sam on the Farm

Yesterday we took Samster to Larriland Farm, it's this great farm that let's you pick your own fruits & vegetables. P & I love this place but kept remarking about how it's a profit machine & we're basically paying people to come work their farm (; In October though they do have their Fall Festival every weekend, it's so much fun...hay rides, bbq, yummy apple fritters & the haunted "boo barn" were some of the best parts. I really want to make homemade apple crisps (I am NOT a baker so it'll be interesting) so Samster was my little harvester...
Sam loved the pumpkin patch so much & was not happy when we tried to scoop her up to leave. She hadn't had a nap + we've just started tantrums = complete meltdown
Soooo sleepy....

So I have a question for my blogger friends, does anyone else have problems uploading images to their blog? If I do anything less than the "large" size than the images come out grainy, sometimes even the large ones do. Also my internet programs (both Safari & Firefox) tend to freeze up when I'm uploading images and I have to force quit it and start over with my post. A big fat pain in the butt to say the least. I figured if anyone would know it would be other bloggers!

This week I'm giving my craft room a face lift, it's been very neglected & now that the nursery is done it's my next project. Here's a before of my sewing desk, I started painting & mod podging it on Saturday (P gave me the WHOLE DAY to do whatever I wanted! Nice hubby.) & am hoping to finish it today and show it to you later.
Hope you had a nice weekend!

  1. We're taking our little Phoenix to the apple orchard on Saturdsay and to the Pumpkin patch Friday.

I'm more excited about the apple orchard because I also want to bake some apple pies, apple crumbs, and tars and homemade apple sauce!

My husband thinks I should just go to the market to buy apples, but that's so not as fun as picking your own!

  2. Hey I go to Larriland all the time! It is actually right near where I grew up. I live in Germantown now so it does take me a good 25 min to get there but it's so worth it. My one post that I did on baking where I had all the peaches and apples were from there! :)

  3. Cute pics! Since we live in VA, we go to Cox Farms, it's absolutely amazing! I love it! We go to Stribling Orchard to pick peaches and apples, they have the best! Plus we take the country route to make it even better!
Glad hubby gave you time to do whatever you wanted, I knew some man, somewhere had it in him, to do something like that!

  4. Beautiful pictures. I've been reading your blog for the past month and it's wonderful! Your family is beautiful and you have the most beautiful stories. Thank you for sharing.

To help with your picture dilemma, I usually resize my original pictures down so I can upload them as "medium" or "small" photos onto my blog. It helps upload the pictures faster and still makes your pictures look good. I hope that helps!
