Circle Wall Letters
I keep a folder full of torn out catalog and magazine pictures with decorating ideas I like, awhile ago I saw these neat wall letters with circle backgrounds in PBKids and knew it was too simple to pass up...
I recreated the look in 3 easy steps.
1- Using a level to make sure they're even I traced the outline of a bowl that was slightly larger than my letters on the wall. One for each letter. (Once you get one the height you want use the level to make marks as to where the top and bottom of the next bowl should go) Sorry I didn't take pics as I was doing this but I think you get the drift...2- Paint in your circles with whatever color you like, I used basic acrylic paint.
3- Attach letters with double sided wall adhesive, any kind will do. I just cut off different pieces and stuck them onto the tops and bottoms of the backsides of the letters. By the way, you can find the letters at any craft store, Michaels has a HUGE selection. Mine were already painted white but feel free to paint/stain yours any color.
That's it!
I told you it was easy.
Oh and two things...one, the "fabric floating bookcase" is from here- it was a bit of a pain but TOTALLY worth it. I love how this is now her little reading nook. Two, I know I never posted pics of Samster's finished nursery. This would be because it's not finished. Still. Don't get me started. I only have to hang one bookshelf and make a window valance then that kid's room is DONE! Coming soon, very very soon...I hope.
never knew about your blog until now - you are so talented! thx for sharing
ReplyDeleteHey! Love the letters! BUT I love the book holder better... how did you do that?! Can you take some more pics of it so I can get a better idea?!
ReplyDeleteJust an FYI, I used that mounting tape to hold up our wall letters. When we went to take them down, well... we had to tear the wall pretty good to get it off and had to patch! Love this idea though, I think I'll use it :)
ReplyDeleteabsolutely caaaaute!
ReplyDeletethe letters are totally cute! But is that fabric book sling something you made or bought? LOVE it, Do you have a tutorial for that?
ReplyDeletejust stumbled upon your blog...loving it. can you tell me how you made the book holder? seriously coventing it.
ReplyDeleteplease tell me were u got your crib, i am absolutely in love with it, wow,
ReplyDeleteMy crib? Really? It MUST look better in pics than in real life because it's just a really basic white rail crib that we got at a sample sale at a nearby baby store. (Great Beginnings)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I wish we would've invested in a better one, a nice heavy wood one but oh well, live and learn!
If you're still really interested I'd be happy to see if it's labeled anywhere for you when Sam is up. You couldn't pay me to sneak into her room now! Just email me...
