Sunday Dinner

I've always loved the thought of Sunday dinner together, perhaps I've seen 'Soul Food' too many times, but tonight more than ever I needed some good family mealtime. I love my family in Tampa more than I could ever describe, they're my lifeline, BUT after two weeks in Tampa in December and then another week and a half there now I just really really needed to come home! I miss my bed, my kitchen even my crappy shower. I missed home. So tonight to celebrate finally having some time at home with my big boo and baby boo we cooked a yummy dinner together!
Grillmaster Daddy preparing the asparagus (I went a little asparagus crazy at Whole Foods, I get so excited when I see that it's the skinny stalks instead of the giant fat ones...is that weird?!)

I made a dry rub for the tuna steak out of sesame seeds, course salt, pepper, orange zest and wasabi powder (it was SO yummy but next time I need to go a little easier on the salt for perfection) On Peter's salmon I put it in a foil pouch for the grill and dressed it with course salt, pepper, Drew's soy ginger salad dressing and orange slices on top. Now THAT was perfection. (:

We did have TONS of fun while we were in Tampa, I'm mad at myself for not posting more pics while things were going on but here are a few...

1st off this past Saturday was the annual Gasparilla Pirate Invasion! It's a HUGE parade that the whole city practically turns out for, it's based on the legend that Tampa was founded by pirates who invaded the city hundreds of years ago...now every February the city reinacts the pirate invasion and gets obscenely drunk. Yarrrr, it was a good time by all!

93.3 FLZ float crew!

THEN last weekend was Superbowl in Tampa, we went to one pre-game party and I met FloRida...unfortunately for me my apple bottom jeans & boots with the fur were at the cleaners.

There's a reason I didn't blog the day after this, I was dead.

Or at least that's how it felt...attempting to drink like I used to after 15 mths of taking it easy (9 mths preggers, 6 mths mommy) was a bad bad bad idea. Uggggh, what a hangover from hell nightmare that was.
