Does anyone know why babies cheeks get flushed? This is the second night in a row where an hour or so before bedtime Sam's cheeks get really red. I googled it and found some articles that say it could be related to teething. Last night I just kept checking on her and by this morning they were back to normal but I'm getting her ready for bed now and they're red again!
Contemplating calling the doctor...
Although she doesn't have a fever, but does have a cold...hmmm...
Here she is with my stepdad last night, they're the same tonight.
It could be a combination of the cold and teething. Make sure that she isn't to warm and also if she has a ceiling fan in her room put it on low, it really helps with the circulation in the area especially now in the winter months when it can feel so stuffy.
ReplyDeleteI've also read that the red cheeks could be due to the drooling factor. :) The drool is irritating her cheeks, much like when you lick your lips too much & it gets chapped. Try Aquaphor - it's a miracle worker. http://www.aquaphorhealing.com
ReplyDeleteAhhh, good tips! I ran a humidifier last night and that seemed to help too. Thanks!
