Winter Wallop!

That's what the weather channel is calling the big snowstorm. "WINTER WALLOP!"

Seriously? That's the best alliteration you can do?

How about "BLIZZASTER!" "SNOWMAGEDDON!" "SNOWNAMI!" "SNOWTORIOUS S.N.O"

No?

It is quite a storm. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really REALLY excited to be here for it. We're supposed to be on a plane to Florida right now but that's NOT gonna happen. Airports are closed and the Washington D.C. area is under a Blizzard Warning! Now I know this may not seem like a big deal to those of you who are used to snowstorms but this just does NOT happen in D.C. They're saying it 's the biggest snowstorm in 30 years! We did venture outside for a little while to watch daddy shovel...
SOOOO glad Grandma Ann & Grandpa Sam sent Samster a snowsuit for Christmas!
I'd say we've gotten around 10" so far & it's supposed to keep going until later tonight. They're saying up to 2' is possible! My brain can't even imagine what 2' of snow would look like. I'm a Florida girl...hurricanes, eh! No biggie. Blizzards?! I have no idea what to do.

I take that back, I do know to cook something warm & yummy...off to make corn chowder! Yummm.

Any of you guys experiencing this??

  4. Winter Wallop IS pretty lame. I live where we get snow all the time so I always laugh when people get so excited. Our forecast is saying MAYBE flurries on Christmas Eve. Who knows? But what a perfect time to get some snow. Enjoy it while it's there!
