If you don't have time to make your own I've put them in my etsy shop, sizes 0-3 all the way to 18 mths are available & all are new, white, long sleeve gerber onesies.
So enough plugs, on with the tutorial!
Not a whole lot of directions here, it's basically only a few steps...
1- cut out a tie shape from your freezer paper
2- iron on to onesie, shiny side down (high heat but no steam!)
3- draw your turkey shape with a black fabric marker
4- Fill in with fabric paint, just follow basic coloring rules and stay within the lines. (:
Also I like tulip brand paint, you can find it at most local craft stores. Oh and I did the shading on the tie by using a slightly darker green that I made by adding a little brown & drop of black to the green I used on the main tie area.
5- Once dry iron again to set the paint.
(machine wash inside out/tumble dry low)
If you need more freezer paper stenciling instructions I like lil blue boo's, you can find them here.
I also have a few other onesie ideas for little boys that I'll be posting this week, they're SO cute, makes me want a little mister. But then I realize that would be mean having another baby in the house, and then I think that crafting for your little guy will tide me over just fine...
How cute. I never would have thought to paint the tie on. I love the turkey.
