Well said my dear, well said. From the eatee point of view I can say that the salmon was AMAAAAZING & I'm super picky about my fish. If it taste fishy at all I won't eat it. With this recipe you put the filets inside a foil packet and top them with a mix of diced tomatoes, fresh garlic & onion, oregano & I think a few other pieces of goodness, fold up the foil packet, bake for 25 minutes and you're done. SO. GOOD.
As you've probably already guessed this cookbook is getting a two thumbs up A+ review. I can guarantee it's going to be a staple in my kitchen for everything from quick family dinners to impressive company get-togethers! Oh man, now I'm hungry after writing this!

I have been cooking since I was about 12 or 13, and so I have accumulated a VERY large collection of cookbooks - I think it's what people always want to give me for occasions. :) BUT, the ones that I really really want - like this Giada staple! - have eluded me for the past couple of years. Thanks for the review on it - I'll have to be sure to snag it soon!
ReplyDeletemore a** than John Mayer..ha ha! Love it! I just wanted to say hello...I have followed you for a long time but never say hi! Your posts always start my day off right! Thanks! oh and the pic in the upper left corner with tiny Sam...gorgeous! It's what made me come back again :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, this is definitely one I want to purchase. And P's review was the best! LOL! I'll have to put this on my christmas list. :)
ReplyDeleteYou know...I have had this cookbook for over a year or so and have never tried any of the recipes even though I am a pasta/italian food addict. After reading your reviews, it gave me the kick in the but I needed to actually crack this book open and try it out. I think I am going to start with the Verdure al Forno!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review. Our local library actually has a copy, so I'm going to check it out and try out some recipes. If I decide to buy, I'll come back here for your link:)
ReplyDeleteHis review cracked me up! I'm a huge fan of Giada's show. I need to order myself a copy of the book.
