Color Wonder Creations

I hate Color Wonder markers.
They take too long to show up, the colors are bland & they frustrate Sam. I assumed I would have the same disdain for all Color Wonder products until Sam tried their fingerpaints.

HelllooooOOOOoooo!Pretty freaking awesome, right?

I love this stuff! The colors are so vibrant & the way they blend together? Magnifique!I loved that little monster print she made so much that not only did I frame it...
(Gaudy gold frame picked on purpose. I thought it added a little humor)
BUT I also printed it out on iron-on transfer paper and...{Jcrew Painter's Tee, Forever 21 skirt, large pet squirrel is actually a sheltie with a haircut}

P says it was very 'grandmother' of me to print my kid's artwork on a shirt. I told him, "Yeah. But it's just that effing good."

Oh, and while we're on the subject of kid's art what do you think of Sam's new art station?It's just to the side of my kitchen island so she can not only have meals there but it's also a great place to stay busy while I cook. Those little containers & rack are from IKEA (shocker, I know.) & can be found in the kitchen area. I think they're "Gorbedsnookens". Or maybe "Spetzers". Nope, they're Bygels. Table & chairs are from IKEA's Critter collection

  1. I love the shirt! and what a GREAT artist you have on your hands. And don't feel so bad about the grandma-ness of this move, Im pretty sure most moms (ones that love their kids anyways, haha) would do the same!

  3. Super cute! I didn't know that they had paints as well as markers. You're also very brave- my 2 yr old and 3 yr old like to colour on walls and the floor.... we keep the markers up very high.

  4. Oh just last night I was desperately trying to keep the big kids "real" markers out of reach for Vinny. He hates the color wonder because it's not instant satisfaction. He scribbles, sees nothing, and screams.

    I love the t-shirt. Not granny at all. On my To Do list is hopefully embroidering something the kids draw onto something fabric-like someday. You know how that goes.
